Liquor Bottle Porch Torch

  • Get your closest liquor bottle.
  • Empty it (preferably into your mouth, or use an already emptied one!)
  • Fill 3/4 with tiki torch fluid
  • Stick the wick in, and form a piece of foil around to keep it from falling in.  I've also seen people stick long pins or metal skewers through, if the mouth of the bottle is especially wide.
  • Enjoy!
  • Don't bother to add food coloring, it won't mix with the oil. Note my red and yellow drops.

Update on Indoor Gardening

The Cat Grass Died

The Carrots, Radishes, and Lettuce were a success...
Until they withered a few weeks later thanks to random 30 degree weather at the end of April!
Now they're in the actual outdoor garden, clinging to dear life.  We shall see.

Got this for free, it was ridiculous, and did not work.  Supposedly you keep the thing submerged in water and it will sprout - but nothing happened.  The paper got kinda moldy and it just sat there looking ugly.

My Attempt at Indoor Gardening

I planted peppers, cat grass, basil and cilantro indoors this year.  I'm hoping that my little sproutlets will poke their little heads out while they're living inside, which will help them be stronger if we have a super rainy spring & molten-lava summer like we did last year.  The cat grass is already growing, but nothing else has sprouted yet - although the envelopes did say 10-14 days.  So, we'll see.  Here are the pics!
